Jordan Hanson studied traditional music in West Africa, Cuba, and Brazil. His enthusiasm for drumming is contagious, and he is able to get new students to play traditional rhythms within a few minutes.
Jordan teaches at the University of Victoria School of Music and has guest lectured at over a dozen universities across Canada. His programs for
schools, community and organizations have been the subject of over 50
national and international radio and television features from coast to coast.
Jordan has now taught more than 100,000 Canadians how to drum!
Jordan’s performance is 60 minutes long, and he brings rare, impressive
instruments from around the world. His interactive show is participatory,
interactive, and teacher-endorsed. Cultural diversity, linguistic skills and respect are promoted in a fun and educational manner.
